About Us
We are a classical dance institution committed to preserving the tradition of Bharatanatyam while nurturing each student’s individuality and inner strength. Our space is more than a studio — it's a sanctuary where art, discipline, and transformation converge. We are now seeking instructors who are aligned with our values and vision.

What We're Looking For
We are hiring a dedicated Bharatanatyam Instructor to teach beginner-level students. This role requires deep commitment, integrity, and alignment with traditional values. We do not support multi-school affiliations — instructors must be exclusively associated with our institution.

Key Responsibilities
-
Teach beginner-level classes with strong fundamentals in adavus and Alarippu.
-
Instruct students of all age groups, fostering discipline, joy, and growth.
-
Set clear weekly/monthly goals and adhere to a structured syllabus.
-
Offer constructive feedback to support each student's unique journey.
-
Assist with rehearsals, performance preparation, and assessments.
-
Attend ongoing professional training under Guru Swathi Lakshmanan Aththai.
-
Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and focused classroom environment.
-
Support in content creation, event planning, and internal communication where needed.
-
Uphold the ethos of dedication, punctuality, and responsibility.

Time Commitment
-
Must be available to commit a minimum of 6 hours per week, which includes:
-
Class teaching hours, and
-
Regular professional training under Guru Swathi Lakshmanan Aththai.
-
-
Additional hours may be needed during performance seasons or special events.

Qualifications
-
Solid training in Bharatanatyam, with the ability to effectively teach adavus and Alarippu.
-
Ability to recite jathis and sollukattu clearly, and sing basic compositions used in class — as we do not use recorded music during instruction.
-
Prior teaching experience is a strong advantage, especially with children and beginners.
-
Must be exclusively affiliated with our school — working at other dance institutions simultaneously is not allowed.
-
Willingness to undergo regular mentorship and training under Guru Swathi Lakshmanan Aththai.
-
Must have a non-competitive, team-oriented attitude, with honesty and deep respect for traditional teaching methods.
-
Strong communication, punctuality, and a genuine passion for the classical arts.
